Lockdown project

I decided to have a sort out my portfolios and noticed screenprints that I had completed at university a few years ago, the screenprints were muted in tone and needed something more adding to it.

So therefore I decided to improve the colour, structure and composition by using some image influences from previous projects (the use of ambiguity within my artwork, offering the idea of the image representing something important but in actual fact is purely created for compositional purposes and to simply look interesting and unique.

Makeup artistry.

I decided to gain further knowledge within make up artistry, not only I think it is important to show creativity as an artist on paper or material but also to reflect on my own appearance and incorporate that onto my own and other peoples faces; to concentrate on colour, contour and structure,to highlight areas that myself or the client prefers about themselves and boost their confidence by using my artistry to achieve that.

Vibrant lion.

I decided to draw an animal that many artist attempt to do in a variety of ways. Not only did I want to capture realistic markings of the animal but I wanted to use biro pen to create vibrant colours to show the majestic side of the animal, it’s a strong powerful creature that demands attention, and therefore that’s what I wanted my image to achieve, to gain the attention of others at a first glance.

Commission- Tattoo design.

I had been asked by a client to create a tattoo design based on his journey as a person, through highs and lows, using strength, determination and resilience within an art form, to show how the love for his family keeps him strong, as a reminder to those things that are important, to create a composition of images that are extremely personal and have an in depth meaning.

Commission- Roses.

I love drawing roses, I always try to find different ways of drawing them and creating different compositions. For this commission I used my unique style of drawing and blending of biro and coloured pencil to create natural tones and highlights of the flowers. To tie everything together I wanted to create a bit of chaos by including vines interweaving in between the roses. Having not just an image of roses but natural chaos evident in the piece.
